About The Pilates Connection
We are the Premiere Pilates Studio serving Marina del Rey, Venice and surrounding areas offering private, duet and group reformer classes. Our contemporary approach to Pilates will leave you feeling invigorated and energized!
Pilates is a system of physical and mental conditioning that uses resistance rather than impact to strengthen and stretch the entire body, as well as to calm and focus the mind. Emphasis is on quality of movement rather than quantity of reps or weight lifted. Pilates is often associated with abdominal work because all of the exercises are initiated from a strong center or core and flows outward . However, the vast Pilates repertoire is full body conditioning that is appropriate and beneficial for people of all ages and fitness levels.
Pilates is practiced on the reformer, chair and/or tower. The springs assist the body to build strength without bulk and engages postural muscles often neglected by sports or other workouts. By working the body evenly, focusing on alignment and precision, muscles are developed uniformly, which helps to correct imbalances, improve posture and prevent injury. Consistent Pilates practice will result in longer, leaner muscles; strong, stable joints; reduced stress; increased endurance, circulation, flexibility and much more.

At The Pilates Connection we focus on you! We follow a contemporary approach to the Pilates method allowing for each class to be little bit unique. You will find our private, duet and group classes to be creative and fun with special attention to increasing strength and flexibility while decreasing stress!
How we were trained
Beth has received her Pilates apparatus training through Balanced Body and her pilates mat training through Peak Pilates.
Why we love what we do
Pilates makes me feel long and strong. I thoroughly enjoy helping clients discover how Pilates can change how they feel on a day-to-day basis. Creating movement without impact is very important and preserves the joints. At The Pilates Connection we practice a contemporary approach to Pilates and work to strengthen your bones, tone your muscles and help you feel fit but also mentally strong.
