About Shapes Brow Bar
Shapes Brow bar started in the year 2002, when Reema Khan noticed the need and demand for threading services as she first started offering the threading services in her beauty salon, on the North Side of Chicago. Realizing the potential and the increasing acceptance of threading, Reema explored her opportunities. Armed with her threading expertise and a mission to educate people about the benefits of threading, she launched her first brow bar at a local mall in Chicago. Over the years Reema took her business to the next level by offering the threading services at many more mall locations in the years to come. Now Shapes operates nationwide with over 75 locations throughout seven states and continues its mission to create more awareness on the art of threading.

Why we love what we do
Around 2001 Rima Khan noticed that very few people actually paid attention to their brows and being truly passionate about the beauty industry felt the need to educate the American people on the power of brows and more importantly advising people on a simply better technique of shaping their brows. She decided to launch her first full service salon in 2003 on the North Side of Chicago offering eyebrow threading as a niche service among other beauty services.

My appointment wasn’t honored and I had to wait about twenty minutes. Which I would normally be fine with, but I had to return to work and I was late. Great eyebrow threading though.
Mosin was fantastic. She was the most gentle person. I loved the job she did including the shaping and coloring of my brows.

I visited the location at Willowbrook Mall in Houston, TX & I booked my appointment online through MyTime.com. I am very happy with how my brows turned out & the lady who did them was quick & efficient. I would have been in & out within 15 minutes, but there was some confusion at checkout regarding payment. As stated, I booked the appointment online with MyTime.com & credit/debit card was required at the time of booking to secure the appointment. Because I used a debit card, the card was charged at the time of booking. I explained this to the lady ringing me up & showed her my appointment confirmation email from MyTime, but she wasn't able to find the transaction in her system. She called tech support & after speaking to them for a few minutes in another language, she informed me that they wanted to speak with me. I explained everything to the tech support guy who was eventually able to find the transaction once I stated that the appointment was booked using MyTime.com. Not a huge deal & the staff & tech support were nice enough, but it did take awhile, and at first, the lady ringing me up was kind of adamant about needing a transaction number or an email receipt & tech support immediately asked me for an invoice number the moment I got on the phone with him. I would definitely go back to Shapes to have my brows threaded, but next time, I'll just walk in instead of booking online.
