About Stiefer Photography
Stiefer Photography is an organization dedicated to promoting environmental change through small and simple daily choices. Our goal is to not only provide our community with idea's that they can do every day to improve the sustainability and our quality of life, we also strive, through photography, to provide incentives to do so. Not everyone lives in paradise, as we do. We want to continue in the footsteps of Ansel Adams, by bringing the beauty of this world to everyone.
What differentiates us
We specialize in photographing all live living where the land meets the sea. Randy began as an avid hunter in his childhood, today he prefers a camera to a bow.
How we were trained
Diana Stiefer learned the basics of photography from her father, John Rabe. She moved to Santa Cruz and took classes at Cabrillo Community College to continue learning about the photographic process. She moved to New Hampshire and changed to the digital age by purchasing a cheep DSLR and continued her passion for photography. Today she assists her husband, Randy, while also taking her own photographs.
Randy took a few classes at Cabrillo Community College, although the majority of his learning comes from reading blogs, watching photography video's and from other online learning sources. He began photography when his wife, Diana, introduced him to aperture, shutter speeds and ISO. He has not stopped learning since.
Why we love what we do
I love bringing the world to the public to enjoy, love and preserve.
