What differentiates us
I have gained the confidence of over 10 thousand patients by being a gentle and effective healer, especially taking specific care not to create any rotational high velocity adjusting (cracking) of the neck. I use very gentle techniques that still restore the necessary movement but do so in a very soothing and healing manner. I also use extensive physical healing techniques (physiotherapy) and also include nutrition, exercise, and counsel patients on the importance and most effective ways to improve their sleep.
How we were trained
I grew up in Northern Oregon and attended Oregon State University. I then continued my education in Portland, Oregon at Western States Chiropractic College (now called University of Western States). I moved to Southern California in 1985 and began practicing sports medicine chiropractic at the young age of 25!!
Why we love what we do
I love helping people. At Pacific Coast Sports Medicine, my practice is predicated on a close examination of pain and dysfunction. Specifically, I apply a uniquely synergistic model of treatment to correct dysfunction, looking at the cause effect relationship of the condition and finding ways to optimize a persons' healing response.
The first step for me is to carefully analyze the problem in the diagnosis phase. This means taking the time with the patient to identify every abnormality, be-it a chronic or traumatic injury, an overuse, repetitive stress type of injury or some other kind of ailment. I always strive to gain a full understanding of what the patient presents with- then I can better be able to move forward with a speedy recovery for the patient and optimize their overall health and well being.
At Pacific Coast Sports Medicine, during the treatment phase, Dr. Raymond Hall, DC, uses his past experience, as well as building on the past experience of other doctors and current researchers in the field, to develop a personalized treatment plan. Oftentimes this will mean collaborating with an orthopedist, physiatrist, or other specialists outside of Pacific Coast Sports Medicine in order to bring you the optimal health option. Most often, at Pacific Coast Sports Medicine, Dr. Hall chooses highly conservative care such as soft tissue massage, stretching, exercise, physiotherapy, and very gentle joint manipulation to restore normal movement and function.
