About Oh To Be A Dog
Oh To Be A Dog is the premier dog walking company in Pasadena and winner of the Best of Pasadena Pet Care Award, 2012. We specialize in private dog walks, in-home visits, and pet sitting. We will treat your dog like a member of our family, whether we're walking, visiting, or caring for them while you are away.
What differentiates us
All walks feature Pet Check Technology, a real-time GPS notification system! No more worrying or wondering if the walk happened, how long it was, or when it was. We are bonded and Insured and our experienced staff are all Pet First Aid Certified.
We're happy to arrange a meeting and greet so you can get to know us! We will take every step to make sure you and your pets are 100% comfortable and satisfied.
How we were trained
Shannon began her formal career at a small business marketing firm in Sherman Oaks, CA. After many years as the Director of Marketing she realized she wanted to do something with her passion for dogs. Getting a job at a local dog daycare was just the beginning.
In the past 7 years she has worked in several facilities as a Dog Handler, and also as The Director of Daycare & Boarding for a large facility in Los Angeles. Shannon is a Certified Pet Care Technician and is continuing her education at The Academy for Dog Trainers, dubbed The Harvard of Dog Training Schools. She is combining her many years of business savvy along with her love and passion for dogs.
All of our walkers and sitters are certified in Pet First Aid and have experience with -- and a passion for -- pets and animals.
