NC Studios offers private voice lessons as well as audition preparation.
Nancy has appeared in the national tours of Phantom (u/s Christine) and The Buddy Holly Story, as well as the Washington, DC premiere of Summer of '42 (Dorothy). She has also performed in numerous regional productions throughout the United States.
Some of her favorite credits include: Carousel (Julie Jordon); Children of Eden (Eve/Mama Noah); Crimes of the Heart (Babe); The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Sunny); South Pacific (Nellie); I Love You, You're Perfect Now Change; and City of Angels (Bobbi/Gabby).
In San Diego, where she currently lives, she has been seen in The Music Man and The Servant of Two Masters at Lamb's Players Theatre as Auntie Who in the 2011, '12 and '13 productions of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas at The Old Globe Theatre as Lady Montague in The Last Goodbye at The Old Globe Theater and in Respect: A Musical Journey of Women at both the Lyceum Theatre and the Herberger Theater in Phoenix, AZ.
Nancy served as the Director of Musical Theatre at Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) in Washington, DC for two years, serving over 1,000 students in the DC metropolitan area. Nancy and her husband Geno Carr moved to San Diego from Columbia, Missouri where they both served as faculty in the Performing Arts Department at Stephens College. Nancy received her bachelor of fine arts degree in Musical Theatre from Elon University in North Carolina and her MFA from San Diego State University. She currently teaches private lessons and performs.
