About Korlates Fitness
Korlates Fitness is NOT TRADITIONAL PILATES.
It is a combination of Pilates-based exercises performed on professional reformer machines with towers, strength training principles, and other movement techniques set to fun music.
These Pilates fitness style classes consist of 7 people and last 50 minutes.
With an emphasis on strengthening the core, our programs are designed to increase upper and lower body strength and flexibility.
You will get a workout like you've never experienced before!
Lastly, our programs change every 4-6 weeks. We incorporate reformers with towers, kettle bells, mini trampolines, TRX Suspension systems, jump boards, resistance cords, weighted hula hoops, medicine balls, and other fitness tools to add variety and challenge.
What differentiates us
The fact that we are not traditional Pilates meets a larger audience. We also play upbeat music which creates a very fun atmosphere.
How we were trained
Kris has been teaching fitness programs and dance for over 30 years . He was a professional dancer in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and performed in "Jubilee" at Bally's in Las Vegas. He is currently a CT Licensed Massage Therapist.
Instructing has been Kris's passion since he started dancing in 1981. He has been a world-renowned master instructor trainer in the fitness industry since the mid eighties. He developed fitness certifications for LA Fitness and three levels of Pilates Mat Certifications for the American Aerobic Association and International Sports Medicine Association. He has personally trained instructors in Canada, Japan, France, Wales, England, Mexico, Turks and Caicos, and in almost every single state.
