About Sandy Paws, LLC
Sandy Paws is dedicated to giving the pets of the CT shoreline communities the love and play they need, and their owners the reliability and peace of mind that they need. In addition to opening and delivering high quality services through Sandy Paws, I am continuing my education in animal behavior and training issues, by studying to be a dog trainer. I have completed all studies, and am now apprenticing with a certified dog trainer. Although we will add training services down the road, you can now take advantage of having a highly educated caretaker for your pet who loves to work on basic manners while we're out playing and exercising. All sitters at Sandy Paws are Pet CPR and First Aid certified by the American Red Cross. We look forward to meeting your pet, to see how we can keep them company while you are away from them! They won't even know you're gone!
What differentiates us
I started my business because I had seen first hand and heard stories about dog walking gone wrong. As a pet owner myself (2 dogs and 2 cats), I couldn't stomach what I'd heard. I promise to provide you with the quality of services that I would expect for my own pets. I check in with my clients, both via text/e-mail and notes written at the home to let you know what we did that day, and for the clients to feel confident that their pets had a great outing.
How we were trained
My training is all hands on, and comes from my extensive volunteer experience at animal rescues and shelters in CT and NY, and I am studying dog training through Catch Canine Academy.
Why we love what we do
Well, I left the practice of law to do what I love to do: work with animals. I feel so blessed to spend my days exercising and sharing my time with creatures who, although they can't talk, have some of the biggest personalities I've ever experienced (as any pet owner knows).
