A few years ago, I noticed that booking certain things – such as restaurant reservations and flights – was easy to do online, but other things like local services was still a hassle. Other people noticed this too – Uber, Airbnb, OpenTable, the list goes on.
But try booking a haircut, a dentist, or a dog groomer. You’ll find that you’re still expected to make a call during business hours and hope someone answers the phone. Then you can play what I affectionately call scheduling tag, a not so fun game of going back and forth until you find a time that works for both of you (or don’t). I figured there had to be an easier way for consumers – and the businesses – to find & book appointments. The idea behind MyTime was born. Since then, we’ve been hard at work to make MyTime the most popular online destination for getting booking appointments with over 2 million local businesses (and counting)!
We are belatedly starting this new blog to get better connected with you all, our customers and fans. You’ll hear not just from me, but from different people on the broader MyTime team (and maybe even a few guest posts). It will feature not just developments at MyTime, but also interesting stories, trends, articles, photos… and maybe even some insights from the hundreds of thousands of people who use MyTime each week. Whatever it is, we promise to keep it interesting and fun. So sit back, relax, grab a cup of coffee, and get to reading. One last thing – don’t be a stranger! Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section (except for you spam bot). Part of the motivation for creating this blog is to have the chance to interact with the wonderful folks we created this product for – like you.
Happy reading, and happy bookings!
